NecroVisioN Video Unveils Vampire Motion Capture Techniques

Ever wondered how a videogame developer might create realistic movements for a karate-chopping vampire? Well, this new video reveals the lengths that The Farm 51 went to, so they could get realistic movements and animations for the key characters and enemies in NecroVisioN. From zombie soldiers to demons, each was meticulously motion captured and then animated by the studio. The developer enlisted the help of six-time world kick boxing champion, Marek Svitek, to make sure all the high-kicks and punches of the vampires looked fantastic. What’s more, it’s a great opportunity to see developers running around with fake guns and there’s even a chance to see the film producer and director in just his underpants. Never before has a developer allowed such access. NecroVisioN is a fast-paced and furious first-person shooter from The Farm 51 that blends historical detail with nightmarish horror. You play as Simon Bukner, an American soldier who decides to help the British effort to take out the German threat. But that’s only the start of his troubles and Bukner soon realises that there’s something far more terrible stirring in the trenches.
